  • I went to visit Allie, the new mommie, and her little Jonathan today. Please keep her in your prayers as her body heals from delivery. What an amazing woman:)

  • What summer?

Where is this summer going? The other day I was browsing at Walmart and saw the employees setting up back-to-school shelves. Are you kidding me? This is too depressing. This Indiana summer has been filled with nothing but thunderstorms and monsoons. The fourth of July is the climax of the summer, in my opinion. Although I really enjoyed the events connected to the fourth, there's nothing much else I've accomplished this summer; therefore, I don't think this is a summer that's going to down "in the books" anytime soon. Hmm... better get crackin' if I'm gonna make something of myself before mid-August rolls around.

  • baby on the way.. (not mine)

Wow!  Abra's baby room is shaping up.  It's the most chic room that a baby could ask for!  Audrey will come home to the following:  a chic set of toys (specially hand picked by her hip mommy), a shabby mix of furniture with a modern twist, and the CUTEST outfits from the one and only Gymboree.  I wish I were expecting (hmmm... let me think that over: maybe not).  For more details, visit her blog: AbraLouise.  It just might make you one step closer to parenthood.

  • Goodness me. Time is flying. This summer (though seemingly not a summer at all with the weather and all) is going by all too fast. As I sit here at the Pourhouse sipping my White Chocolate Mocha, I realize that life can be in such disarray without any warning.

    An example from your's truly:
I have no internet (hence the coffee shop).
I experienced homeless a week ago.
I saw three of my "ex's" (if ya wanna call em' that ) within a one hour time frame.
I live amongst friends whose families are literally "growing" by the minute, while I continue flying solo.

(No true complaints, really - just confusion).

What is the lesson learned here? Life hits you fast. Be ready for the unexpected.
